Frequently Asked Questions

How soon do I need to send my flowers to you?
Ideally within 48hrs, the fresher your flowers are when we receive the better they will preserve.  Within a week will be just fine though as long as they are not browning or too fragile to send.  If this is the case we can advise you on how best to dry at home and then send in 3-4 weeks after.

How many flowers do I need to send?
This depends on the item you have ordered. I will have put in the item description what flowers are suitable for the piece for example it may say: smaller flowers or petals. You will just need to send a few of those and maybe a couple of spares. Please do not send whole bouquets unless you have been asked to for the larger pieces.

How do I send my flowers to you?
We will send you full instructions on how to package and send your flowers to us to ensure they arrive safely and in the best condition possible. If you are local to Stone in Staffordshire, we can give you the option to hand deliver.  If you have pre-booked your date with us then we will be in touch with all the information you need before your booking date.  Its a very simple process where you can re-use materials you usually have around the house.

Can I send flowers which are already dried?
Yes absolutely
What is the process?
After we receive your flowers, we will be back in touch to let you know they have arrived safely.  We then place them into our drying process.
How long will it take to process my order.
We usually work on a 12-20 week turnaround from when we have received your flowers.  If you have ordered a larger item and waiting on designs, these are usually sent around 8 weeks after receiving your flowers.  Rest assured we will process your order as quickly as we can without compromising an exceptional finishing piece.
What to expect from the finished keepsake

Your finished item will include small bubbles which we think adds to the charm and makes the flowers look as if they are in water. We do our best to minimise this but unfortunately It cannot be changed. There maybe occasions where there are small air bubbles/indents on the surface, this is also something we cannot change. Overall these are very small imperfections that may occur and will be hardly noticeable on your finished item of beauty. We do not photoshop these imperfections out of the photos so these are a true representation of the finished items. The back of your finished item may have a few 3D petals, backs of flowers sticking out. This is due to the size of the flowers. The back is not designed to be seen.

Why do my flowers look translucent in parts?
Flowers are very delicate and they bruise easily. This can happen on the special day when the bouquets are being handled, and also during shipping to us. Unfortunately, we cannot always see the damage until after the flower has been preserved. This is incredibly common in preservation and something that we cannot prevent. We handle all the flowers incredibly carefully whilst preserving. We feel this imperfection adds to the flowers story and doesn't hinder its beauty in the slightest.

Will my flowers fade and resin yellow?
We advise you keep your finished items out of direct sunlight and only wipe over with a micro fibre cloth. The resin we use is of the very best quality and UV resistant so should not yellow for many many years. The flowers may also fade in colour after time but again please keep out of direct sunlight and heat and this should help.
